I so depended on and appreciated having everything written out to the letter in the bulletin. Now that I've been there a few years, I use my own BCP and know when and where to do and say what. We have four very different services every Sunday. They all use the same bulletin, but the person leading music announces the changes for the one service that uses a different song book. I think the announcements at the beginning is good. My church makes a huge point about how visitors if baptized can take communion.
