Nearly Wordless Wednesday: Popup Loon

It's fun to watch loons in the ocean. They float along and then disappear underwater, only to bob back up somewhere else. I was lucky enough to be ready when this one began to pop up after a dive.

(This is a common loon in its winter clothing, swimming in the ocean off the coast of Virginia. During the winter, they are quiet, so we don't get to hear the maniacal laughter. Oh, well.)
