Resurrection

This is Easter Week in the liturgical year, the week after Easter Day and the first week of the season known as the Great Fifty Days of Easter. The prayers for this week will focus on social justice.

Instead of my own reflection today, I'd like to commend to you a sermon I read by The Rev. Terry Martin, whose alter ego Father Jake writes the blog Father Jake Stops the World. Father Terry/Jake has written such a fabulous sermon that anything I might write today would pale in comparison. For one thing, he quotes a few lines of poetry from W.H. Auden.
