   Almighty God, your deacon Vincent, upheld by you, 
   was not terrified by threats nor overcome by torments: 
   Strengthen us to endure all adversity with invincible and steadfast faith; 
   through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
