Morning Collect for Friday after Ash Wednesday

O God of all our days,

whose eye is on the sparrow,

uphold us in our efforts, 

however small,

to put our trust in you.

You know our going out

and our coming in

and the number of hairs on our muddled heads.

We are written on the palms of your

generous hands.

May we know your love

and accept your providence 

and graceful abiding

by turning to you again

with purified and grateful hearts.
