Morning Prayer
call us out of the tombs -
the ones we have made for ourselves
and the ones we have let others make
and shut us into.
The tombs we have feathered
and padded and decorated
as if our lives depended upon them.
Help us see the life
that has been waiting for us to live it fully
if we could only let go of the things that bury us:
isolation, fear of not measuring up,
fear of being vulnerable, fear of success,
fear of failure,
fears of every kind.
Walk with us into the light today.
