Morning Prayer

O God, you have called us to be you children,
and have promised that those who suffer with Christ
will be heirs with him of your glory:
Arm us with such trust in him
that we may ask no rest from his demands
and have no fear in his service;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.  Amen.

A good collect. What book is it in? Where was the photo taken?
This is from Lesser Feasts and Fasts (Church Publishing Inc, New York).
The photo is from the Franklin D Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, DC. It's a representation of people standing in line to register for unemployment compensation benefits during The Great Depression in the 1930's (which was created under FDR's presidency). The little girl got in line, too, for her parents to snap a picture and I did, too.
