A number of my friends posted on Facebook a link to this talk on TED.com over the past few weeks, but I did not get around to watching it until today. If you are one of the three people who haven't seen it yet, please click the link and watch it as soon as you can. Brene Brown is a funny, authentic, real, researcher-storyteller who talks about joy, shame, feelings of connection, worthiness vs. unworthiness, and how it all boils down to being willing and able to be vulnerable - to tell our own stories with our whole heart, to be willing to be known and seen. And she points out what has happened in the church as a result of our being unwilling to be vulnerable. I knew these things, but her saying them through her own story, with such authenticity, made something click... Watch and enjoy.
